Your One and Only
This is one of those vital tips: I read several checklists and tips from service bureaus and most of them offer the same basic advice. One important one that seems so obvious but still manages to trip up some folks: never, ever send the service bureau your one and only copy of your file. They may handle dozens, hundreds, or more files a day and things sometimes get lost in the shuffle. Don't let that one lost file be your only file. Keep duplicates or triplicates of all your application files, fonts, images, PostScript files, and PDF files associated with a job.
