48. The Final Exam

From Jacci Howard Bear, your Guide to Desktop Publishing

The end is in sight. This is the last email you'll receive in the Daily Dose of DTP email class. Now it's time to see how much you've learned.

There are 6 separate quizzes that make up the exam. Three are multiple choice quizzes with from 5 to 10 questions and the other three will have you matching 10 or 20 items from one column with descriptions from a second column.

You'll get a score after each quiz. If you want to track your overall results you'll need to write down the score. They are not carried forward from one quiz to the next.

Test Time
Daily Dose of DTP - Final Exam
You must have JavaScript enabled in your browser. On the multiple choice quizzes you will have 3 to 5 answers to choose from. Pick only one. On the matching quiz, use the pulldown menus to match items in the first column with items from the second column. Once you make your first selection, the "A" answer will show with a checkmark. That is just a quirk of this quiz script. Ignore it. The matching quizzes can be a little tricky so pay attention.

How Did You Do?
If you scored less than 75 on all or most of the six quizzes in the exam, you may need to re-read the lessons and re-take the quizzes. If you scored over 75 on all of the quizzes, you have a good grasp of the basic process of desktop publishing. Good job!

Post your scores (good or not so good) in the DTP Classroom. Let us know how you did, what you found easy and what was more difficult. Have questions about some of the questions and answers? Post them on the forum so we can discuss it.

What's Next?
Advance to the Next Class
At this time there are no intermediate or advanced design or desktop publishing skills classes available via email. However, the About Desktop Publishing GuideSite is full of tutorials to help you take it up a notch. I also recommend returning to the section on How a Desktop Publishing Document is Created to dig deeper into the process of desktop publishing on your own.
