         TODAY'S ARTICLE:

"Top 7 Ways to Stay In Touch"

Business networking is a contact sport,
which means that meeting a person is
only the first step.

Staying in touch and developing a
relationships with a person you've met,
is what networking is really all about.

So here are my top 7 methods for staying
in touch with people.

1. Send Greeting Cards
__________________________

When people receive heartfelt greeting
cards, they feel warm and appreciated.

Why not pick out 4 or 5 holidays
throughout the year and send greeting
cards celebrating those holidays to your
network of friends.

I use this service to send all my cards.
It's fabulous!

2. Call a Referral Source.
__________________________

One of the best and easiest ways to stay
in touch with someone is to simply pick
up the phone and say hello.

If you don't have any agenda other than
to say hello, your friends will
appreciate you even more. Just make sure
you keep it very short.

3. Send an Article
_______________________

When you scan the headlines or the local
business journal, think about who you
know that would benefit from reading the
articles you're looking at.

Then just copy the link and email it to
them with a quick not to let them know
that you're thinking about them.

4. Send a Gift.

When was the last time someone sent you
a gift just because? Probably never!

That's what makes this technique so
unique. People don't do it.

Your friend will be shocked, surprised
and delighted that you spent the money
and took the time to send her something.

Again, the system I use to send
heartfelt gifts and cards with the push
of a button is...

5. Invite to Lunch.
_______________________

I can't think of a better way to deepen
a relationship with someone than to have
a lunch and get to know them better.

In fact, you should be having a least
two lunches a week with prospective
referral sources.

Pick up the phone or email your friend
and invite to lunch!

6. Invite to Networking Meeting.
_________________________________

If you know your friend attends
networking meetings, why not invite him
to your next one.

Most people like to go with someone to a
networking meeting so that at least know
someone there. It makes them feel more
comfortable.

So before you run off your next
networking meeting, make a few calls in
advance and invite someone to go with
you.

7. Invite to Activity
__________________________

Inviting business associates to attend
professional sports games, car or
boating events, BBQ's, shooting range or
even the theatre.

These are all wonderful opportunities to
bond with potential referral sources and
people that you've met through
networking meetings.
