"My Top 10 Lead Generation Principles"
Lead generation is the lifeblood of ANY
business. No business can survive
without a continual stream of new
prospects and customers.
So today, I've written down my TOP 10
lead generation principles.
These are principles, so they work in
ANY industry, ANY business, and at ANY
time period.
Here they are (not necessarily in
order)...
PRINCIPLE # 1
Always sell the next step and nothing
beyond that.
PRINCIPLE # 2
Create a "lead magnets" that are free or
low cost that solves your target
prospect's worst problems to get your
prospect to respond.
PRINCIPLE # 3
Use specific headlines in your lead
generation advertisements that
specifically call out to your target
prospect.
PRINCIPLE # 4
Find out exactly where your target
prospects get their information and fish
in those ponds for leads.
PRINCIPLE # 5
The more effort a prospect takes to
respond to your lead generation efforts,
the more qualified they become.
PRINCIPLE # 6
It's usually more effective to generate
leads using multiple small steps rather
than one large step.
PRINCIPLE # 7
Continue testing new lead sources all
the time to find the lowest cost,
highest quality leads.
PRINCIPLE # 8
Your financial investment in lead
generation should be measured in return
on investment rather than cost alone.
PRINCIPLE # 9
The higher the lifetime value of a
customer, the more money you'll have to
invest in lead generation.
PRINCIPLE # 10
The best lead generation source you'll
ever find is your current customer base.
They have the ability to generate the
highest quality of leads at the lowest
cost per lead than any lead source by
referring their friends and associates.
