ROY ROGERS - 100 Years Old

 It doesn't seem that long ago that I was sitting in my pajamas, in front of our tiny

B&W RCA TV, eating my  box  of Cracker Jacks watching Roy Rogers re-runs.

Dad  was in his Lazy-boy drinking a Schlitz beer.   Both Dad and  Mom loved Roy Rogers

and Dale  Evans. I remember  Mom use to say "How do they stay so young  looking?". 

Sorry for the hackneyed cliché,  but "those were the days".  And boy do we miss Roy!

This Saturday, November 5th, marks what would have been Roy Rogers 100th

birthday. Hence, premier western magazine "Cowboys & Indians" has (deservingly so)

featured Roy's Centennial Celebration on their front cover.  You can read the entire article
